Naples and Mount Vesuvius from above Virgil's tomb
This drawing done from the vineyard above Virgil's tomb shows the long stretch of the beach of Chiaia ending at Pizzafalcone and the Castel dell'Ovo. As now, more than half of the Chiaia waterfront is taken up by the gardens of the Villa Comunale, formerly the Villa Reale.
